Was ist mit Cormiers rechtem Trizeps los ?
third out - David Henry ... David is on tonight ... back to the David Henry of last year, where he was overlooked at the O ... thick back ... in very good condition ... thick ... good shape, back is very impressive ... David is going to make a run at the top three tonight ... seems to have brought his legs up from earlier in the year ...
Evgeny Mishin ... placed fifth or sixth at Europa ... not as conditioned as then ... still vascular in some shots, but carrying water from the back
Fouad Abiad ... coming off a 5th place finish in Montreal ... good shape, legs are detailed ... hamstrings good, he is on par with last week ... impressive young competitor competing in his third pro show, good shape ... Good, but could be a tad crisper, think he was last week ... we will see how it shakes out tonight in a tougher lineup
Johnny Jackson ... Johnny is better this week, has tightened up ... great front lat spread ... thick and full, great side chest ... Johnny will be in contention here ... from first glance, Johnny ahead of Henry, but's lets wait and see
Chris Cormier up now ... Chris is heavier than last week but a little better ... detailed back ... hamstrings are better ... still not as thick as he can be ... good ab/thigh shot, good most muscular ... Chris is slightly better than last week, but so is Johnny
Halfway through the lineup, it is Johnny's show to lose ... still waiting for Darrem, Quincy and the Big Question Mark Melvin Anthony
Darrem Charles ... on point again ... maybe a couple pounds lighter, but looks similar to last week ... crazy arms as usual ... Darrem looks good once again, he will be in the running ... From first glance though, I still go with Johnnie ... quads are shredded... Darrem is a pro
Troy Alves ... Troy has tightened up as welll over the last week and looks better than in Montreal .. good side chest, Troy's arms have improved since last year ... hams look better than last week, always a problem with Troy ... Back double bi good ... Troy is better this week, lets see if it is enough to put him in the top 5 this time around ... on first glance it will be close
Hidetada ... Hide is on as well ... legs look great, maybe the best quads in the show ... Hide is an underrated poser, he hits all the shots well ... good condition ... Hide wasn't lying when he saide this was the best he has ever looked, I agree ... Class act
Quincy Taylor ... Quincy does not looks as good as a week ago, slightly worse .... didn't hold his conditionging as well as the other top guys from last week.. a little smooth ... Seeing as how the top guys here are all in good condition, it could be tough for Quincy to crack the top 5 ...
Melving Anthony ... Melvin has great shape, but he is not as sharp as the other top guys ... quads look good ... hanging hamstrings ...Wide back, good back double bi ... needs to hold rear lat spread a little longer ... Good most muscular ... Melvin will be in the running, we will see ... if he improves over the course of the prejudging it will be a different story, but right now - right now top 3, but not winning
Craig Richardson ... Craig looks good, very underrated bodybuilder... good separation in hams and quads ... needs to bring up his back to be in contention with this lineup, has almost everything else ... good shape, good condition ... back will hurt him in this lineup - can't see him finishing in top 7
First group up ... Henry and Abiad looks the best out of these 9
Second group ... Johnnie standing next to Cormier in this group, Darrem on the end ... Chris's shape is much better, but Johnnie has him condition-wise ... CLose call here, closer than I thought before ... Darrem on the end, can't really compare him to CC or JOJ right now ... CC, Darrem and JOJ will all be compared early and often during comparisons though, the class of this group
Third group ... Quincy, Troy, Hide next to each other ... Melvin here also ... Hide is the best conditioned guy in this group ... Melvin has the best back in the show from what I see so far, but it will come down to conditioning and I don't think he is there
Johnny moving next to Melvin now , then Henry then Charles ... Qyincy and Richardson on the ends ... Darrem has Henry in conditioning ..If Richardson's back was better he could win this show
Second Callout ... Hidetada, Alves, Arntz, Cormier, Abiad
If Chris was just a little crisper I would give this to him, but Fouad is giving him a run here ... Troy is better, but I still would put Fouad ahead of him
In some shots CC is in the lead, but in others it is clear that he isn't there yet ... not
Third callout ... Lionel Brown, Jeff Long, Jonathan Rowe, Tricky Jackson, Nathan Wonsley, Jimmy Canyon
Fourth callout
Abiad, Cormier, Quincy, Richardson, Hidetada
Fifth callout
Johnnie, Henry, Melvin, Darrem
This is your contest right here, the fourth callout....
Melvin is holding his own, clearlyy the biggest guy in this group ..Darrem and Melvin next to each other ... switching Melvin to the end
Johnny the only one up there who can match Melvin's thickness, but Mel's legs are more complete ... Johnny has him condition-wise though ... Melvin crazy small waist
Done with prejudging - no more comparisons ... looks like thse are your two groups at the top, in no order
Top 4
Jackson
Anthony
Charles
Henry
5-9
Cormier
Taylor
Abiad
Richardson
Hidetada

Allan von Flex.com's Meinung
OK guys, here is how I see things shaping up:
1 - Johnnie Jackson ... full and hard, Johnnie was on tonight. His upper body puts him ahead of Darrem, just fuller and thicker all over. Legs are thicker too. Johnnie did good tonight.
2 - Darrem Charles ... fantastic conditioning once again, probably the best in the show but just not as big or as full as Johnnie, I think JOJ's combination of both will put him ahead of Darrem in a photo finish. Slim chance it COULD come down to tomorrow, and who holds their conditioning better, as can be the case at a two-day show.
3 - Melvin Anthony ... couldn't put Henry ahead of Melvin, partly because I can't see the judges doing it but partly because Melvin has the best lines in the show. Would have been his show if he came in better condition, but was carrying too much water in the midsection and hams (not going to mention glutes here, not my thing).
4 - David Henry ... back to the DHenry of old ... very good condition, very good thickness, just not enough to beat Darrem or Johnny in terms of overall package .. Still, a good outing for Henry and a slim - SLIM - chance he edges out Mel for third (not likely though)
5. Fouad Abiad - I give Fouad the edge over Quincy, Cormier and Richardson based on his overall combination of size, shape and conditioning. Still can improve, but I am not going to overlook him like I did last week ...
6. Quincy Taylor ... Not as good as last week, but I didn't have him 2nd then, which is where he ended up ... Was harder last week ... Still, judges could put him in 5th spot as the very well could do the same with ...
7. Chris Cormier ... tough for me to put Chris here based on what he has been through over the last year but, again, not there yet... Better than last week, but not MUCH better, and not enough to get an Olympia qualification ... If not for the triceps issue, could be higher ... Still, best structure in terms of wide shoulders, wide chest in the show ... CC will be back in 08 if he keeps doing what he is doing
8. Craig Richardson ... Very good conditioning here ... Craig has a lot of things to make him a top pro, but one thing he lacks is back width ... if he brings that up, he will make some noise in the future ... great arms, great quad sweep
9. Hidetada Yamagishi ... Hide came to AC in the best shape I have seen him, very good condition...probably the best quads in terms of size and detail in the show ... As I said, a very underrated poser ...I originally had Hide in 7th and still haven't seen the pictures, but I will put him here ...
10. Troy Alves ... Troy may have got lost in the shuffle tonight to a certain degree, but I still couldn't see him placing higher than 8th in this lineup ... He is bigger than last year, but he still suffers in some back/ham comparisions while matching up very well in others (most muscular, side chest)... Troy did tighten up considerably and I would have liked to have seen him compared to Hide, Craig and even Cormier/Quincy more, but that didn't happen tonight
Well, there is my top 10. We will see tomorrow how on or off I am. (And no, Dave, no bets this time).
