Ich finde Pakulski auch überragend von der Linie her. Er hat immerhin Jackson hinter sich gelassen, letztes mal. Aber denke gegen mc millan wirds schwer.

2013 ARNOLD CLASSIC: THE THIRTEEN CONTENDERS

    FOUAD ABIAD

    Age: 34
    Height: 5’10”
    Contest weight: 250 pounds
    Representing: Canada
    Arnold Record – Two Appearances: 2011, 12th; 2012, 11th.
Born in Ontario, Canada, of Lebanese heritage, Fouad, was a self-confessed “skinny kid” when he attended his first bodybuilding show in 2000 and was immediately hooked. The 2006 overall amateur Canadian champ packs oodles of thick evenly distributed muscle and if he nails it – the man they call Hoss – can race to his highest ever placing at the Columbus extravaganza.
    DARREM CHARLES

    Age: 43
    Height: 5’9”
    Contest weight: 230 pounds
    Representing: Trinidad & Tobago
    Arnold Record -- Nine Appearances: 1995, 8th; 1996, 10th; 1998, 6th; 1999, 8th; 2000, 7th; 2001, 8th; 2003, 6th; 2005, 6th; 2006, 8th.
In this his 22nd year as an IFBB pro, this is Darrem’s first non-Masters event since 2010. Although renowned as one of the best posers the sport has ever seen, that shouldn’t disguise the fact that he has one of the classiest and most conditioned physiques on the current scene.
    TONEY FREEMAN

    Age: 46
    Height: 6’2”
    Contest weight: 284 pounds
    Representing: USA
    Arnold Record – Seven Appearances: 2005, 10th; 2006, 9th; 2007 3rd; 2008, 7th; 2009, 4th 2010, 5th; 2011, 9th
Although the maturity of his years should maybe suggest otherwise the X-Man is not yet ready to be the Ex-Man. He comes into the contest hot off a second place finish at last December’s Masters Olympia and with new contest prep advisor Dennis James in his corner this Toney is looking for a major award.
    MARCUS HALEY

    Age: 40
    Height: 5’9”
    Contest weight: 245 pounds
    Representing: USA
    Arnold Record – Two Appearances: 2007, 12th; 2009, 13th
Born in Las Vegas it should come as no surprise that Marcus is a supreme showman. In 2007 at this contest he brought the house down and danced away with the Best Poser award. At the evening finals watch out for this particular version of Haley’s Comet.
    DEXTER JACKSON

    Age: 43
    Height: 5’ 6”
    Contest weight: 230 pounds
    Representing: USA
    Arnold Record – 13 Appearances: 2000, 5th; 2001, 5th; 2002, 3rd; 2003, 4th; 2004, 3rd; 2005, 1st; 2006, 1st; 2007, 2nd; 2008, 1st; 2010, 4th; 2011, 5th; 2012, 5th.
The Jacksonville native is out to tie Flex Wheeler’s record of four Arnold Classic victories. And he is in the mood to break records as he comes into the contest after having taken last December’s Masters Olympia title (in incredibly the best shape of his life in his 61st contest) making him the first man to win a Mr. Olympia title (2008) and a Masters Olympia title.
    JOHNNIE JACKSON

    Age: 42
    Height: 5’ 8”
    Contest weight: 240 pounds
    Representing: USA
    Arnold Record: Five Appearances: 2006, 13th; 2008, 9th; 2009, 9th; 2010, 12th; 2011, 7th.
Heralded as one of the planet’s strongest bodybuilder, Johnnie is the possessor of a world-class upper body: the knock against this training partner of Branch Warren (winner of the last two Arnold Classics) is that his legs don’t have that same star rating, but last year he made great improvements and is determined to maintain that momentum.
    MICHAEL KEFALIANOS

    Age: 42
    Height: 5’ 7”
    Contest weight: 240 pounds
    Representing: Australia
    Arnold Record – One Appearance: 2012, 9th.
Originally from Greece, where he served in the military before emigrating to Australia, Kefalianos is renowned for watertight and sinew splitting full condition which he credits being due to his heavy duty training philosophy. Michael runs his own taxi business, so he can certainly boast a set of wheels. If he nails it he could be best-conditioned athlete in the contest.
    CEDRIC McMILLAN

    Age: 35
    Height: 6’1”
    Contest weight: 260 pounds
    Representing: USA
    Arnold Record: No Appearances
Coming out of virtually nowhere McMillan captured the 2009 Super Heavyweight and overall titles at the NPC Nationals. Since then he’s been somewhat of an enigma, doing well in some contests and not so well in others. Then last year under the stewardship of Chris Aceto this full-time Army Instructor convincingly won the New York Pro. Aceto says, “Cedric will be in contention at this contest and if all goes to plan he could steamroller his way to victory.”
    EDWARD NUNN

    Age: 41
    Height: 6’1”
    Contest weight: 255 pounds
    Representing: USA
    Arnold Record: No Appearances
This is an Arnold debut for the Super Heavyweight and overall champ at the 2008 NPC Nationals. With X-frame credentials this Indianan native has maybe been a little underrated in the past. However at last December’s Masters Olympia he was outstanding in finishing fourth, with many of the opinion he should have been runner-up to Dexter Jackson.
    BEN PAKULSKI

    Age: 31
    Height: 5’ 10”
    Contest weight: 270 pounds
    Representing: Canada
    Arnold Record: Two Appearances: 2011, 10th; 2012, 4th.
Last year the massive Canadian was the most conditioned bodybuilder in the contest: so much so that he seemed deserving of a higher placing. With his crazy width, and the freakiest legs (complete with 22” calves) since Tom Platz he has earned the moniker Pakman and there is certainly something otherworldly about his physique.

    RONNY ROCKEL Age: 40
    Height: 5’ 6”
    Contest weight: 230 pounds
    Representing: Germany
    Arnold Record – Five Appearances: 2007, 8th; 2008, 13th; 2009, 10th; 2010, 6th; 2011, 6th.
Rockel has been remarkably consistent in his ten year IFBB pro career and is noted for his rock (no pun intended) hard condition and balance. His inspiration to take up bodybuilding was generated when, weighing 143 pounds, he saw this contest’s namesake starring in Conan The Barbarian.
    FRED SMALLS

    Age: 37
    Height: 5’ 7”
    Contest weight: 240 pounds
    Representing: USA
    Arnold Record – No Appearances
Possessing one of the most contradictory surnames in bodybuilding, Fred earned his pro card by winning the Heavyweight division at the 2010 NPC Nationals. In 1997 he graduated Salisbury State with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Dance. Re, that latter distinction you’ll see how he earned it when he unleashes a barnstormer of a routine at the evening finals.
    HIDETADA YAMAGISHI

    Age: 39
    Height: 5’ 6”
    Contest weight: 220 pounds
    Representing: Japan
    Arnold Record – Two Appearances: 2007, 13th; 2010, 8th.
The hugely popular Hide (as he is known: pronounced Hee-Day] is Japan’s best ever bodybuilder and the moniker Ultimate Warrior has long been attached to him. Now we know why because two weeks before the Arnold he broke his left wrist but will still be on flexing duty in Columbus and promises he will deliver his trademark hardness and balance.
