Lee Haney was honored with the lifetime achievement award during the prejudging of the 2005 NPC Nationals.
He was comanded for his contribution to the sport of bodybuilding but also for all his wonderful work outside of our sport. He is constantly involved with many charities and he does numerous things for the comunity. His passion is - working with kids and he is unselfishly devoting most of his time for that.

Lee is the greatest ambassador of our sport and not just multiple Olympia champion but what's more important - champion in life.
Class act all the way - and one of the rare people that can just look at you once and leave lifetime impression. I know he did it to me the very first time I shook his hand - and I am sure he does it with everybody else.
If you never had a chance to meet Lee - just look in his direction - the rest leave up to him.

When asked what he thinks about Ronnie going after his Mr. Olympia record - Lee smiled and said:
"Records are made to be broken...and if anyone deserves to break that record - it is Ronnie.
I know he will - and I am going to be first to congratulate him!"

On that - Ronnie responded: "Lee was always my idol whom I respect so much...but I am going to break his record..."
