ARNOLD SPORTS FESTIVAL TO EXPAND IN 2008

USA Powerlifting, America’s Premiere Powerlifting Organization to Present World Level Competition at the Arnold Sports Festival 2008

Columbus, Ohio --- USA Powerlifting (USAPL) will join the Arnold Sports Festival as a key partner in 2008. USAPL, the only US member of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF), is headquartered in Columbia City, Indiana. The membership includes more than 5,500 men and women who compete with an organizational commitment to drug free performance.

“The Arnold Sports Festival will celebrate 20 years of excellence in sports performance in 2008,” said Jim Lorimer, Producer of the annual event. “Each year, the event grows with additional sports and competitors. USAPL shares our commitment to the presentation of a professionally organized competition based on the principles of sportsmanship and a level playing field.”

The IPF is the oldest and largest international governing body for the sport of powerlifting, and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Founded in 1971, the IPF includes member federations from more than 100 countries. The IPF also has an established relationship with WADA and pursues the strictest of antidoping procedures.

Dr. Larry Maile, President of USA Powerlifting, added, “USA Powerlifting is committed to the honor and integrity of competitive powerlifting. We are thrilled to join the Arnold Sports Festival in the presentation of this sport on a fair competitive platform emphasizing honor and respect. Our international affiliation with the esteemed International Powerlifting Federation will bring added attention to the sport and the Arnold Sports Festival.”

Aber gut zu sehen das was weitergeht, bin mal gespannt was der Kidder dazusagt..

Bin gespannt ob die guten Leute zur IPF wechseln, kanns mir aber nicht vorstellen, zumindest die die extrem breit stehen werden wohl nicht mit dem Ständer arbeiten können..

Meiner meinung wird kaum einer zurück wechseln....absolut uninterressant
und das hat sicher nichts mit der stand breite zu tun...

und überhaupt wird die IPF wohl keinen zurück kommen lassen!

Meiner meinung wird kaum einer zurück wechseln....absolut uninterressant

LET’S GET TO the good stuff. Since we are working at “some other organizations press-release pace”, I know have direction.
YES, the Festival is going to a different organization. Yet the powers to be want us to “keep in touch”.
YES, we do not feel uncomfortable and disappointed about this and could have put into play any program that equaled or surpassed the bodybuilders, strongmen, IPF, etc. or only one else! Really testing a selective 10%, one of the top three, record breakers, is effective!?!?!?!?!?!?
YES, the WPO is alive and fear’s nothing living or death.
YES, the 2008 WPO Finals will be held in Columbus, Ohio the same exact weekend as the Festival.
YES, without the huge production costs, more funds will be directed toward past prizes and the 2008-pool.
YES, without having to worry about the “family-culture” of the Festival, we are going uncensored, more explosive, louder music (you pick it!), more weights, freak lifting, more media (before and after), and more total exposure, more fun!...more to come!

We Have Huge plans being developed for over sea’s competitions’ both in the WPO/WPC, details to be released soon.
In one of my past post I mentioned that this organization is a raging river, adapting to any obstacle. Good luck to the other organizations, we are already passed you!
