2012 Toronto Pro Show

Coming this weekend, the 2012 IFBB Toronto Pro Super Show Championships return to the Toronto Metro Convention Centre where last year we witnessed IFBB Pro Men’s Open Winner, Craig Richardson from Patterson, New Jersey earn the first place victory and a trip to the 46th Annual, Joe Weider’s Mr. Olympia contest in Las Vegas, Nevada! In the IFBB 202 Division we saw Englishman, Shaun Tavenier hold off Mboya Edwards for a narrow victory. This year the division has grown by ten pounds and the class is wide open for the 212 Division!

Also, a full line up of Pro Women Bodybuilders, Fitness, Figure, Bikini and Physique competitors will take the stage vying for Olympia qualifications and prize money!

Look for the former NPC Nationals Champion from the Light Heavyweight Division and 2011 Europa 202 Pro Winner, Seth Feroce to make a big splash in the Open Pro Men class along with the return of 2005 NPC National Champion, Bill Wilmore, who won the Most Improved Award at the 2011 Masters Pro World this past December!

Along with the bodybuilding and physique events, the Expo will play host to many events and sponsor booths all weekend long including: Ontario’s first Amateur MMA tournament, CrossFit, Professional Bodybuilding, Boxing, Kickboxing, Strongman, Powerlifting, Olympic Weightlifting and Arm Wrestling. There will also be Fitness and Bikini Model Searches and motivational lectures by health and fitness industry guest speakers.

There is even a Super Star Seminar with four Mr. Olympia Winners on Sunday, June 3rd with. Dexter Jackson, Jay Cutler, Ronnie Coleman and reigning champ, Phil Heath will all be on hand!!

One of the highlights of the weekend is sure to be the honoring of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the late publisher, Robert Kennedy. He’ll be memorialized for his thirty-eight years promoting the sport of bodybuilding and his dedication to advancing the cause of fitness worldwide.

Nikki Venzara Preps for Toronto Pro Fitness

IFBB Fitness Pro Nikki Venzara's fitness training spans only two years including time competing within the NPC. However, her time in cheerleading and weight training prepared her well assisted by personal trainers and choreographers. Nikki's shot with us ten days out from the Toronto Pro only to suffer the devastating loss of her grandmother the next day. She considered pulling out of the competition as her family is close knit and she has been devastated by the loss even considering she is accustomed to death considering she is a pediatric intensive care nurse in Orlando, Florida. Venzara is tough though and vows to carry on and compete in memory of her grandmother in Toronto.
