The best day of my bodybuilding career and one of the best in my life! I remember someone who I knew a while back having a conversation with me about competing. His thoughts were pretty absolute at the time.
I remember him saying "bodybuilding is one of those sports where if you got it you got it and if you don't you should hang it up".
I remember thinking what a dickish thing to say to me. Obviously he was saying I should hang it up because I wasn't progressing.
It's a good thing I'm stubborn as fuck and I believed in what I was doing because one year later I had the best year of my career and won two shows and took 2nd at the third.
The moral of the story is if you are a realistic person and you believe in what you're doing, don't let anyone stop you.
