Neue Profifederation der Frauen

Vor einiger Zeit kam IFBB Profi Craig Titus mit der Idee auf eine Profifederation der Frauen zu gründen und er wurde nur ausgelacht.
Das Lachen ist nun jedoch erstummt, denn Craig hat Nägel mit Köpfen gemacht und das Ding auf die Beine gestellt.

Hier ein paar Posts aus AmiForen zu dem Thema :

"Not laughing here hopefully it will be successful in kicking the IFBB in the ass to re-think their stance on PRO and Amatuer FBB (which I doubt) or the new federation become a successful avenue for FBB's and fans to celebrate the sport.
IMO it will be easier for females to make the decision to cross over to a new federation than for the men as there isn't much left keeping the FBB's in the IFBB with the dwindling contracts, PRO shows (actually on a stage in a auditorium) etc.

Es gibt Neuigkeiten, hier ein Zitat von Bob Chicherillo nach der Radio Live Sendung am Montag :
Here's some highlights from the interview:

*Craig confirms he and Kelly are indeed forming the own federation (although he didn't like to use the word "federation")

*Craig wouldn't/ couldn't name any athletes that would be participating....also wouldn't/ couldn't name any sponsors that alledgedly are 'on board".

*Craig said Wayne DeMilia is in no way, shape or form involved in the WPI...but didn't rule out in the future

*Kelly said she was NOT suing the IFBB...but didn't rule it out for the future.

* Craig said that Kelly would NOT be participating as an athlete

* Craig said he would NOT be returning to competition in the IFBB, but would be signing as a competitor in the new Asian Fed., should it come to be.

* Judges would be picked from former competitors, people in the supplement industry.

My own thoughts:

If Vince McMahon couldn't do it with the MEN, his own magazine, supplement company, TV show, and Millions of dollars at his disposal.....I think it's far fetched to think anyone else could do it, let alone with JUST the womens division.

Not so sure current IFBB athletes will be so quick to trust their careers to craig and Kelly and a new, untested federation.

I think a "wait and see" mentality will be the standard among the majority of athletes. The only girls willing to jump ship will be those on the bottom of the food chain as they have nothing to lose. The one's on top aren't going anywhere, the ones in the middle of the pack are the "next in line"....tough to start a fed. without big names.

They will need to combine these shows with some sort of Amatuer shows, as I can assure you, there aren't enough fans willing to pay to go to an all womens show....where are the mens amatuer shows going to come from?
