Two-time defending champion Oksana Grishina and 2013 winner Tanji Johnson headline a field of 12 in 2016 Fitness International.
Grishina also finished first in the Arnold Classic Europe in 2014 and 2015 and has won seven straight IFBB Pro League contests. Arnold Amateur champion Giorgia Fiorini earned an automatic invitation to her first Fitness International.
Grishina, of North Hollywood, Calif., won the prestigious Fitness International for the second straight year in 2015. She received $25,000, a Tony Nowak Official Champions Jackson, the champion’s trophy and congratulations from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Second went to 2013 Fitness International champ Tanji Johnson of Renton, Wash., who earned $13,000. Regiana Da Silva of Germany was third and earned $8,000.
Also in the top six were fourth place Bethany Wagner Cisternino of Bound Brook, N.J., who earned $5,000, fifth-place Michelle Blank of Simon’s Island, Ga., who earned $3,000; and sixth-place Myriam Capes of Canada, who earned $2,000.
The 2016 Fitness International will be held Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Prejudging for the Arnold Classic 212, Fitness International and Figure International will be held at 11 a.m. on the Arnold Fitness EXPO Stage at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and Finals will be held at 7 p.m. Fitness International Champions
