Some outstanding performances have been shown at the recently held GPC European Powerlifting Championship in Zilina Slovalia on May 19-22, 2005. Russian team became one of the leaders, bringing back home multiple medals, setting World and European records. Ukrainian team hasn't brought too many lifters, but introduced a "new" phenomenal lifter - Alexander Kutcher, weighing only 75 kg/165 lbs, and putting up huge numbers. Kutcher has set a new All-Time WR in total of 908,5 kg: 340,5-235-333 (it is actually comes to 915,5 kg counting his successful 4th deadlift attempt of 340 kg). Some crazy lifting, considering that Kutcher was lifting in multi-layer-gear's federation wearing a single-ply gear from the IPF! Look forward to see a 1000 kg total in 75 kg class from this former IPF World Champion! Full results from the meet can be found on the official web site of GPC.
